Bhopal: Gwalior DCC chief dies after addressing Jan Akrosh Rally


BHOPAL: The Congress district president of Gwalior died soon after addressing the ‘Jan Aakrosh Rally’ on Monday. The Congress staged demonstration across the nation to protest against the unplanned demonetisation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

 Under the programme district Congress committee (DCC) president Darshan Singh took out the rally and reached the divisional commissioner officer on Moti Mahal premises.

Along with the other leaders, the memorandum was submitted to divisional commissioner SN Rupla around 12am.  During the rally Singh felt uneasiness and just after the memorandum was given to the commissioner, he fell unconscious.

He was rushed to a private hospital, where the doctors declared him brought dead. The doctors said that he had suffered a massive heart attack leading to his death.

A staunch supporter of former Union minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, Singh was a law graduate and also had a doctorate degree.
