BHOPAL: The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on Thursday lodged a complaint with MP Nagar police after 933 fake currency notes worth Rs 3.97 lakh were detected.
Manager R Mehra lodged the complaint at MP Nagar police station. Police have registered the case under section 489-A of the IPC.
As per the police, RBI has reported the matter that 933 currency notes worth Rs 3.97 lakh were detected as fake currencies.
Ten currency notes were of Rs 50 denomination, while there were 728 notes of Rs 100 denomination, 142 of Rs 500 denomination and 53 currency notes were of Rs 1,000 denomination.
