Bhopal: Elaborate arrangements to ensure smooth traffic flow on I-Day

Bhopal: Ahead of Independence Day celebrations on Tuesday, the administration has made elaborate traffic arrangements to ensure uninterrupted movement of traffic. The main programme on the occasion will be held at Motilal Nehru Stadium, Lal Parade Ground. The entry of heavy vehicles in city will be banned from 6 am, while permitted heavy vehicles entry will be prohibited in city till 12.00 noon.

Heavy vehicles coming from Indore, Rajgarh and going towards Hoshangabad and Raisen, will be allowed via–Khajuri By-pass, Gandhi Nagar Square, New Jail, Anand Nagar –By-Pass, and 11-Mills. Similarly, the same routes will remain opened for heavy vehicles coming from Raisen and Hoshangabad and heading towards Indore or Rajgarh.

In the city, vehicular traffic on the Church Road—from Jinsy to Sabban Square and MP Nagar to Lal Parade will be prohibited completely. The traffic for two wheelers, four wheelers, jeeps from Roshanpura via Governor House to Bharat Talkies, will be diverted through Banganga, Machhli Ghar, Khatlapura, PHQ.


Similarly traffic on routes from Lily Talkies to Roshanpura and TT Nagar will remain diverted through PHQ, Khatlapura, Machhli Ghar. For mini buses from Bharat Talkies to TT Nagar, traffic will remain diverted from Bharat Talkies, Aisbagh Crossing, Pull-Bogda, Maida Mills, Board Office. The traffic for mini Bus from TT Naga to Railway Station, will remain diverted Apex Bank, Link Road No -1, Board Office, Maida Mills, Aishbag Railway crossing and Bharat Talkies.
