BHOPAL: Home minister Bhupendra Singh has strongly objected to liquor contractors seeking the help of the police for getting their shops opened. He has issued clear directives that the police should not extend any sort of co-operation or help in getting liquor shops opened or in sale of liquor. In his instructions to the DGP, the home minister said, ‘the presence of police at any spot where people are opposing liquor shops is contrary to popular sentiment’. He
has directed strict compliance with his orders.
