Burhanpur: On the occasion of World Heritage Day, a special programme based on a priceless heritage of mythological and historical importance of Burhanpur town was displayed here on Tuesday.
This program was inaugurated by the women and child development minister Archana Chitnis by cutting the ribbon. She addressed the program by saying that ‘this is a matter of pride for us that we are celebrating World Heritage Day with a great zeal and exuberance’.
She said that Heritage Walk programs are being organised for various schools and colleges so that the students will get to know the history of the heritage closely. On this occasion Chitnis gave a green signal to the heritage walk by showing a green flag and she also distributed caps and T-shirts to the students participating in the heritage walk. On this occasion collector Deepak Singh, joint collector ML Arya, several prominent personalities of the city as well as common citizens were present.
