Bhopal: BJP women wing leader shot dead at home


BHOPAL: In a gruesome incident, a leader of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) women wing, Jamila Khan was shot dead by unidentified assailants on Wednesday. Personal enmity is said to be reason behind the murder. She lived in Indira Sahayata Nagar, ward no.-16 under Gautam Nagar police station area.  Initial clues suggest there was no the political motive behind murder.

Khan sustained gunshot in her left shoulder but the bullet damaged vital organs inside the body leading to her death. X-ray cleared the position of bullet which was later on operated out. Post mortem has also been performed.

After the attack, she was immediately rushed to Apex Hospital where she was declared brought dead. She was later taken to Hamidia Hospital where X-Ray showed the exact position of bullet which had damaged the vital organs after piercing into the body through left shoulder.

SHO, Gautam Nagar police station, Mukhtar Qureshi said, “Jamila Khan was with her son on Wednesday afternoon at her residence. In the meantime, her son from inside the house heard the loud bang of gunfire and he rushed outside. He saw her mother in an injured condition. He immediately rushed her to Apex Hospital and informed the police. She was declared brought dead. She was taken to Hamidia Hospital where it was clear that she had sustained bullet injuries. Vital organs were damaged by the bullet. The body was sent for the postmortem. Initial clues shows that personal enmity might be the reason behind the murder.”
