BHOPAL: Leader of opposition in Vidhan Sabha Ajay Singh has taken a jab at Congress MP Jyotiraditya Scindia for his comment that grassroots workers should be given tickets in elections. Scindia made this remark during his visit to the city on Thursday.
Singh said, “We all make such demands but we forget about them at the time of elections.” Scindia said the Congress should project a chief ministerial face in the assembly elections but declined comment on the delay in doing it. “It is for the party high command to decide,” he said. He said he would do whatever work was assigned to him.
He said the Ater election was not Scindia versus Shivraj but Congress versus the government. He said the people of the state wanted change but for this, the Congress would have to strengthen its organisation. He said like in Ater, the Congress should work at the booth level. Scindia said the Congress would present the blueprint of its plans for the state before the people. He said all Congressmen would have to unite and give up their personal agendas.
