Bhopal: 5 lakh burgled from railway employee house


Bhopal: In a broad day light burglary unidentified miscreants targeted a locked house of a railway employee located at Ekta Nagar and escaped with Rs 5 lakh cash on Thursday said Hanumanganj police. The victim Shehnaz khan (45) has gone to her another house in Bajaria area when her house was burgled, said police.

The victim informed her husband Shubhan who is a railway employee and later the couple lodged a complaint with Hanumanganj police. In the complaint victim stated that she returned from Bajaria at around 9 pm and found that the lock of her house as well as the almirah was broken and the cash kept inside the almirah.

She told police that the money was meant for her daughter’s wedding which is scheduled to be solemnized three months later. Police said that the close ones and neighbourers who might have clue about the cash would be questioned in the course of investigation. Other than cash no valuable was disturbed which raises suspicion that this is the job of some insider. Police have registered a case under section 457 and 380 of the IPC.
