BHOPAL: Three persons were arrested on Monday for hunting wild animals. Two other persons managed to flee. About 150 kilograms of skinned meat of wild animals, skins of spotted dear, black bucks and blue bulls were recovered from their possession. The accused were trapped early in the morning at Bharat Talkies. Police team also seized a 315 bore pistol and a car.
Additional superintendent of police Rajesh Bhadauria said, “Police team, which was deployed for night checking got information about hunters. The team barricaded the route and intercepted the car. Two of the accused managed to flee.” He said that the three admitted that they had hunted wild animals like spotted deer, black buck and blue bulls.
Tallaya police swung into action at 1 am to trap the hunters at Kewara Ka Bag near Bharat Talkies. They intercepted Esteem car (MP-04-CA-4726). During interrogation, the accused admitted that they hunted at Gulabganj forest in Vidisha district. Those arrested include Amir, 30, of Koh-e-Fiza, Sahwar (Koh-e-Fiza) and Amir of Jahangirabad. They did not disclose where they dumped such a huge chunk of meat of wild animals.
