BHOPAL : Miscreants targeted houses of a BHEL and BMC employee in last 24 hours and decamped with items worth Rs 3 lakh. BHEL employee lives in C-Sector Piplani under Piplani police station while BMC employees live in Chhola.
In Piplani case, the accused sneaked into the house after breaking the grill of a window on the backside of the house and decamped with booty worth Rs 2 lakh.
Complainant Dinesh Kumhare, 29, of C-Sector Piplani in his complaint stated that he had gone to a shopping mall located in MP Nagar and then went to Bairagarh to purchase some household goods on Thursday evening along with his wife and sister around 6 pm. When they returned and opened the door the house was ransacked. A gold mangalsutra, two pairs of silver anklets, a Sony camera, laptop LED TV, luxury watch and Rs 15,000 cash all to the tune of Rs 70,000 were missing. The police have registered a case and started investigations.
Meanwhile, in Chhola, unidentified thieves broke open the locks of a vacant house of a BMC employee and decamped with cash and jewellery worth over Rs1 lakh.
