Administration gears up for local publicity of Simhastha Fair

Ujjain :  Various ways and means are to be planned for the colossal publicity of Simhastha Fair-2016 at local level. Activities like Wall painting, essay, extempore and painting competitions, scholarly workshops and publication of literatures will be organized to publicize Simhastha Fair-2016 locally.

This decision was taken during the meeting of subcommittee for Press Publicity organized at Simhastha Fair office, here on Tuesday. Simhastha Fair Authority Chairman Diwakar Natu chaired the meeting. A mobile app will be created for the guidance to outsider print and electronic media persons. The app will ease in procedure of local context and pass system. Natu directed to organize a workshop of local media persons in view of Simhastha to make them aware about their role in the grand religious fair. Local media will act as host by coordinating with outsider media. An action plan should be prepared to make publicity of Ujjain Simhastha in Nasik Kumbh.

Secretary of subcommittee, in-charge joint director Dr RR Patel informed that exhibitions on Simhastha-2016 had been organized at GIS Summit Indore, Gwalior Trade Fair, Magh Mela Prayag and Vibrant Gujarat NRI Convention, Ahmadabad. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan had invited foreign visitors during Friends of MP programme held in New York. Public Relations department has made Simhastha website while publicity is being done through social media too.

It was decided at the meeting that private FM channels will make publicity of Simhastha Fair-2016. Publicity material is to be prepared soon. Media orientation workshop and exhibition will be organized at major cities and capitals of States. Media persons will get residential facility at media center Dutta Akhara and Mangalnath Zone. Press balconies will be created separately for print and electronic media at Dutta Akhara and Ramghat. Documentaries telling the importance of Simhastha Fair will be uploaded on website for publicity.

During the divisional level High Power Committee, Rs 5.57 crore was proposed for the development of city parks. Proposal of widening of Nizatpura road was approved. PHE proposed a plan of Rs 10.3 crore for supplying water from Gambhir Dam. Proposal of land allotment for wood storage was approved. Proposal on navigation application and mobile app for Simhastha was discussed. Proposal of setting up 900 LEDs at Kshipra Ghats was approved. Diwakar Natu, divisional commissioner Ravindra Pastor, Collector Kavindra Kiyawat, SP MS Verma, Fair Officer Avinash Lavania and others were present at the meeting.
